52: Your Healthy Dog, Pt3

January 31, 2019
00:0000:00

Join me, Dr. Kim your host as I continue my series on Your Healthy Dog. In this series I'm going to share with you why our dogs get and are ill and how we can help promote wellness in them and maintain that to the best of our ability - because there are hindrances that ARE being passed on in the DNA as we continue to do things contrary to their needs and nature. However, that said we can choose to do better and not be a part of that problem but be a part of the solution instead. This is Part 3 of this series.

Quote:

By vaccinating every individual animal and not allowing it to develop its own immunity, we are effectively preventing the passing of the immunity to the future generations. A vaccine is always made from the most virulent form of the virus since pharmaceutical companies jump on the wagon as soon as the disease appears and the level of fear is at its highest. While in nature this virus would have mutated into a less virulent form, it does not do so in the vaccine. Generations of animals are therefore injected with the worst form of the virus and stripped of their natural immune response which would have been passed onto subsequent generations. What is passed forward instead is deformed DNA, and the destruction of the species must ensue. Vaccinated mothers do not pass on herd immunity, which then puts pups in greater danger of contracting disease while they are very young. By attempting to save the individual animal, we are effectively destroying the species. A healthy species is able to survive without human interference and we are taking that ability away from our animals.” ~Aleksandra Mikic, from her book, How to Immunize Your Dog Without Vaccines

To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. ~Isaiah 61:3, NKJV

Join me, Dr. Kim your host this time to bid adieu to my beautiful, amazing Carolina Dog Schatzie. She left us FAR too soon but she left such a huge impact. Our hearts are broken but we are forever grateful to have had this special girl girl grace our homes for the time we had her. She will be forever missed.

2 Corinthians 4:17-1817 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. NIV

"We can exchange all of our heartache and hurt and be grateful we had them at all. And receive ALL they gave us and taught us. That's how I'm moving forward this time. I'm comforted by the fact she DID fulfill her purpose and that she isn't suffering now. I've never been able to do this before so I'm just so grateful to God for showing me she is well and with Him, and that I'm to move forward with all she gave and taught me. I miss her so much and that won't change. I'll always miss her, but I will honor her by continuing with her legacy." ~Dr. Kim Bloomer

21: Gone Too Soon: Farewell to Meshach

October 5, 2018
00:0000:00

Join me, Dr. Kim your host for this last of the three shows on pet loss. This show is dedicated to the memory of my sweet Great Dane boy, Meshach. You can check out his memorial page HERE

This show was recorded September 19, 2012. This was two days after the loss of Meshach. It was heart wrenching for me, but I had to share. I didn't have a name for what I now know is epigenetics, so I called it inherited vaccinosis. Same difference really.

When we're grieving the loss of our companion, it always helps when others reach out to us and encourage us. To encourage my friend Bre when she lost her primary Teacher Dog, Merlin, I ordered this beautiful necklace for her from Belleza Mia Jewelry .The owner/artist, Kendra was fantastic! She was professional, kind, encouraging and even put in an extra gift to Bre herself!! How's that for going above and beyond?

19: Farewell to Shadrach the Neo Mastiff

October 2, 2018
00:0000:00

Join me, Dr. Kim your host as I share my farewell podcast from 2011 to the dog who is the reason behind what I do: podcast, blog, write, animal naturopath, the school we recently closed, all of it! His name was Shadrach, the Neo Mastiff...nuthin' but the dog in him. He left a huge void in my life but he touched so many lives while he was here. He was THAT dog. I hope you are encouraged and inspired. Sadly, my life has never been the same without him...but all these years later I am still doing this because of him. I'm doing it because it is what God has purposed me to do.

Here is the link to Shadrach's Memorial Pagehttps://www.aspenbloompetcare.com/blog/in-honor/in-memory-of-shadrach-the-neo-mastiff/

Join me, Dr. Kim your host as I dedicate this show to my friends Bre & Chris Altherr, and their beloved dog Merlin and horse, Joe. This is always a difficult subject to talk about but I think a very necessary one. Two more shows from the past will follow to hopefully give you resources and hope on how to handle the loss of our wonderful companions.
